This cracked me up. In an article about “feelings” on the economy again.

Yes, people are worried about retirement. Actually 9% more people are worried today than last year.

Despite concerns about their financial security, a large number of workers continue to have inadequate retirement savings, a problem that the survey has found year after year.

Um, maybe there is a connect there. They are concerned because they have inadequate savings.. I’m just saying.

Forty-seven percent of workers said they or their spouses have tried to calculate how much money they will need for comfortable retirements, up from a low of 29 percent in 1996.

So 18% more people are looking at what they need to retire now than in 1996 which has perhaps caused the 9% increase in people concerned about their savings for retirement.

How hard is it to read the big picture before putting pen to paper?
