Diethylene Glycol now found in children’s toothpaste. So far, not here, just other countries (Dominican Republic, Panama, and Australia).
The Chinese Govt is investigating as well they should. I know the Chinese have a lot of people but if they intend to keep exporting goods they’re going to have to do better than they’ve been doing lately.

Margins are small so you substitute cheaper ingrediants
Trademark copying is a problem. It’s not the “real” Mr. Cool toothpaste, but a copy
Government doesn’t have a clear regulation as to how much can be added to things
It’s been used in Chinese toothpaste for 20 years and no one has died of it!
