Here in Colorado, last November, the town of Brighton “banned” fracking. Courts upheld the ban in March.
In April, the law was repealed. So what happened?
If we listen to the rumor mill, this is what happened. Encana, Halliburton, et al, quit doing business in Brighton. They stopped going to restaurants there, they quit buying their workbooks their, they moved their dollars to other communities who wanted to see them at work.
The city made haste repealing that law that they had fought all the way through the courts to get approved.
