Bloodthirstyliberal has the most clear headed thoughts about using Hitler as a reference in any conversation.

If you have to use Hitler to make your point, you probably need to rethink your point.

(all in the wake of an odd Will Smith quote)

In a story published Saturday in the Daily Record, Smith was quoted saying: “Even Hitler didn’t wake up going, ‘let me do the most evil thing I can do today.’ I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was ‘good.’ ”

I’m with BTL. There is evil in this world. Don’t explain it, just deal with it.

People are whacked out, jumping all over the net looking for anyone who said anything bad about Will Smith. Take note – I didn’t say anything bad about Will. I love the guy. He’s one of my favorite actors and he seems like a genuinely good person.
He did NOT say that Hitler was good. And I’m not saying that he did.
I have no idea what the point was he was trying to make when he said he didn’t think Hitler woke up figuring out what bit of evil he wanted to do today, (like a Dr. Evil in a cartoon flick). It doesn’t matter. I’m saying that anytime I hear anyone bring up Hitler in reference to anything I think “oh – here we go again”.
Hitler/Bush, Hitler/Mugabi, Hitler/Saddam, Hitler whatever.

So – again the point being that if you think you need to reference Hitler, don’t bother.

  1. Wow. People are so fucking stupid.

Hitler did have a justifcation for the massacre of all those people during WW2. He outlined his beliefs in Mein Kampf and this was expanded upon in the Final Solution.

So Will’s point is that Hitler believed, through his own twisted logic, that HE (HITLER) was doing a good thing.

Will isn’t saying Hitler is good.

There is no qoute saying that Will thought Hitler is good.

Check the original article from the DailyRecord. The interviewer prefaced the Hitler remark by making a personal anecdote/observation : “..[Smith] believes all people are basically good.”

Hence, Will never said he believed everyone was inherently good. This was an INFERENCE on part of the interviewer.

The tabloids took the qoute out of context and fused it with the interviewers personal observation.

It’s clearly libel and slander. Will should sue these lowlifes for dragging his good name through the mud.

And the JDL are a known hate group who were classified as a terrorist organization for 20 years. NO ONE should be giving them the time of day.

They are a militant right-wing group. Extremists.

They should not be taken seriously, they are a fucking joke and an insult to Jews everywhere.

  2. Yes, people are stupid. Like yourself.

I didn’t say that Will said that he believed Hitler was good.
You are a whackjob extemist who chooses to “jump on a bandwagon” vs actually read the post.

  3. Will Smith never was saying Hilter was good, I hate when people jump on the media bandwagon. It was obvious what he was saying even a 10 year old can guess that!!!! What a damn shame the media has fooled so many people just to make a quick buck!!! Notice anger is only coming from the JDL which is a terrorist organization…

  4. Nisha,
I didn’t say, that he said that!!
I hate it when people jump on that bandwagon without reading what I wrote.

In ANY situation – if you need to use Hitler to make a point, you probably want to re-think things because Hitler can’t really be reasonably referenced. He WAS evil. No more explanation needed.
