“Palling around” is probably a little exaggerated. I suspect they never went down to the corner and shot hoops together. However, Gateway Pundit has the video of Obama suggesting he was definitely qualified for his senate seat because of his time on Ayer’s foundation.
Same video: He calls the Reverands Wright/Pfleger/Meeks “friends”. With friends like Obama……
So somehow, by noting Obama’s association with Ayers Palin MUST have a subtext and what else could it be except….”Look out!! Obama is a black man. And they’re scary!!”.
Palin’s words avoid repulsing voters with overt racism. But is there another subtext for creating the false image of a black presidential nominee “palling around” with terrorists while assuring a predominantly white audience that he doesn’t see their America?
Uh…”false image”? What is your subtext there Mr. AP? Are you trying to bring up racism as the subject so that voters will vote Obama in order not to be racists? Is that your subtext? Because I’m also wonder if by quoting a certain Ms Jenny Backus who calls Palin a “fluffy bunny” if perhaps your actually overt sexism might show and repulse voters.
I mean, can there be another subtext for creating the false image of a strong moose hunting GOP offing woman as a soft cuddly little fluffy bunny who can’t handle tough big men like say Putin?
ps As long as you are clicking through to Gateway Pundit, click through to the main page. It’s a fount of information.
UPDATE: Rich Galen was quoted in the AP story above and he’s pissed as hell about the fabricated subtext of this article.
So, the three people quoted were all asked about the tactics and timing of the Palin attack.
Here was the headline on the piece: “Palin’s Words Carry Racial Tinge.”
